How To Relief From Torment

Dear Islamic brothers! When Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ showers His mercy on someone, He عَزَّوَجَلَّ accepts even a minor deed and forgives him. A Hadees mentions several different people who were blessed by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and were saved from torment due to certain deeds. Sayyiduna ‘Abdur Rahman Bin Samurah رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنۡہُ has narrated that once the Prophet of mankind, the Peace of our heart and mind, the most Generous and Kind صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم came (to us) and said, ‘Last night I had a dream in which I saw that:
  1. The angel of death عَلَیہِ السَّلَام came to seize a person’s soul but his obedience to his parents appeared in front of him and saved him.
  2. A man was being punished in his grave but his virtue of performing Wudu saved him.
  3. A man was surrounded by devils but his act of making the Zikr of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ saved him.
  4. A man was surrounded by the angels of retribution but his Salah saved him.
  5. A man’s tongue was hanging due to thirst, he would approach a pond to drink water but was not permitted to drink, then his fasts arrived and quenched his thirst.
  6. A man was trying to get closer to the Prophets عَلَیۡھِمُ السَّلَام but was not permitted, his Ghusl (ritual bath) arrived and sat him beside me (i.e. next to the Holy Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم).
  7. A man was frightened due to be surrounded by intense darkness, but his Hajj and ‘Umrah came and brought him out of darkness and took him to light.
  8. A man wanted to talk to the Muslims but they did not pay him any attention, then his virtue of behaving relatives well asked the Muslims to speak to him, so they began to converse with him.
  9. Fire was approaching the face and body of a man who was trying to protect himself by using his arms, but then his charity arrived and served as a shield for him.
  10. A man was surrounded by the angels of retribution but his virtue of calling people towards righteousness and preventing them from evil saved him and took him to the angels of mercy.
  11. A man was sitting on his knees but there was a veil between him and Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, then his good character arrived and made him meet Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.
  12. The book of the deeds of a man was about to be given to his left hand, but then his fear of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ arrived and he was given his book of deeds in his right hand.
  13. The weight of a person’s good deeds was less (than that of his bad deeds) but his generosity arrived, increasing the weight of his good deeds.
  14. A man was standing at the edge of Hell but his fear of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ arrived and saved him.
  15. A man fell into Hell but the tears he had shed out of the fear of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ came and saved him.
  16. A man was standing on the bridge of Sirat and was shaking like a branch but then his hope that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will have mercy arrived and saved him, and he passed the bridge.
  17. A man was crawling across the bridge of Sirat, but then his recitation of Salat upon me stood him up and helped him pass it.
  18. One of my followers reached the portals of Heaven but they were closed, then his witness ‘There is none worthy to be worshipped except Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ’ came and the portals opened, allowing him to enter.
  19. The lips of some people were being cut; I asked Jibraeel عَلَیۡھِمُ السَّلَام, ‘Who are these people?’ He replied, ‘They used to tell tales.’
  20. Some people were hanging by their tongues, I asked Jibraeel عَلَیۡھِمُ السَّلَام as to who they were, he replied, ‘They used to falsely accuse others of committing sins.’

The Stories Of The Mercy Of Allah ( عَزَّوَجَلَّ )

O seekers of mercy! If Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ wants to forgive, He عَزَّوَجَلَّ does so even for the smallest of virtuous deeds. There are many narrations in this regard. For example, ‘A woman was forgiven just because she gave water to a thirsty dog.’

Another Hadees of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم says that a man removed a tree from the path so that it would not cause difficulty to pedestrians. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ became pleased with him and forgave him.

Another Hadees says a man got absolution for being lenient in demanding debt from a debtor.

Condemnation Of Singing And Music In The Light Of Qur'an And Hadith

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur'an:

وَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ یَّشْتَرِیْ لَهْوَ الْحَدِیْثِ لِیُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ ﳓ وَّ یَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًاؕ-اُولٰٓىٕكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِیْنٌ

And some people buy a playful thing to lead astray from the way of Allah without understanding and to make it a laughing stock.

For them is a torment of humiliation. In this verse, one of the commentators regarding "لَهْوَ الْحَدِيْثِ" is that it means to sing. In Bukhari Sharif, there is a clear saying of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): Will be made lawful. The famous Companion Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The sound of music creates hypocrisy in the heart like water makes plants grow.

Look carefully at the above-mentioned verses and the hadiths of Mubarakah, that Allah Almighty exalts both the one who sees the haraam and the one who shows his body to others There is a curse and both of them are far from the mercy of God. All these haraam acts and all these forms of adultery are found. How strictly it is forbidden in the hadeeth to be alone with a non-woman and to illustrate the evil of a pig lying on a stinking mud. It is better to shake hands with a non-woman than to shake hands with a non-woman, while those who celebrate this day do these things with great boldness, holding hands, showing obscenity and obscenity on this Valentine's Day There is a great lesson in the torment of Asaf and Naila for those who celebrate rallies by adopting means, lest they suffer any torment on that day for displaying obscenity and obscenity. Even so, every Muslim should fear the punishment for this great sin in the Hereafter. There should be no fear at all because there is no grip in the world.

The glory of a Muslim is stated in the Holy Qur'an that he fears the Most Merciful. Therefore, tremble in fear of God and embrace His mercy and make true repentance. He accepts them and makes them his beloved. On this day, those who watch movies, dramas, songs and various obscene shows should also repent that all these are strictly illegal and haraam acts.

The Teaching Of Shame | Modesty | The Condemnation Of Immorality | The Blessed Hadiths

(1)… The complaint is in Al-Masabih: It is narrated from Hasan Basri, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saw him. When he sees intentionally without an excuse and the other shows himself intentionally without an excuse).

(2)… Sunan Abu Dawud says: “The parents of Tazniyan, Faznamah al-Battash and Al-Rajlan Tazniyan, Faznamahma al-Mashi and the film Yazni Faznaha al-Qabl. And they commit adultery with their hands, and their adultery is to seize (the forbidden) and their feet commit adultery, and their adultery is to walk (towards the forbidden), and their mouth (also) commits adultery, and its adultery is to kiss.

(3)… Sahih Muslim says: “On the authority of Abu Huraira, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: There is no way out of it, and there is no way out of it. " It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Harirah, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: A nation with whips like the tail of a cow with which they will kill people and (another type) of women who will be clothed and naked and will be attracted to others. Their fortunes will be like the humps of camels leaning to one side. They will not enter Paradise and will not find its fragrance even though its fragrance will be found from so far away.

(4)… The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If an iron needle is inserted into the head of one of you, it is better for him to touch a woman who is not lawful for him."

(5)... The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Yazham Mankaba Amr La Tahlat Allah. "Avoid being alone with women! I swear by the One in Whose hand is my soul! A man is not alone with a woman but the devil enters between them and a pig lying in mud or black stinking mud hits a man, so it is better for him to have his shoulder hit such a woman. Which is not permissible for him.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Shahab-ud-Din Imam Ahmad ibn Hajar Maki Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) says in his book “Al-Zawajir an-Iqtraf al-Kabayr” that it is translated: The people clung to him and the people failed to separate him. Some scholars, may God have mercy on him, guided him to make a vow that he would never commit such disobedience and to pray to God Almighty. When they did so, Allah the Exalted delivered them. And the story of Asaf and Naila is well known that they committed adultery, then Allah Almighty disfigured their faces and turned them into stones.

Do not be deceived by the fact that a person who has committed disobedience is still in good health and is not being punished in haste. It is not proper for a wise person to be proud of himself. Peace be upon you, for it is quite possible that Allah, the Exalted, may hasten the punishment for you, but not for others, because there is no one to prevent it, that there may be a hasty punishment with a very ugly thing, Distancing oneself from attendance, misguidance after guidance, and turning away from the path of God.

Valentine's Day Background And Style Of Celebrating This Day

By the way, the question now is about Valentine's Day, so first of all, the historical background of Valentine's Day and the superstitions that occur on that day are explained so that it is clear to Muslims that this is a day full of sins. It is said that a priest named Valentine lived in the third century AD under the Roman emperor Claudius II. For some disobedience, the king imprisoned the priest, the priest and the jailer's daughter. There was love between them until the girl left her religion and converted to Christianity. Now the girl used to come to see the priest every day with a red rose. When the king found out about this, he decided to hang the priest. When the priest learned that the king had ordered his execution, he intended to spend his last moments with his mistress, and for this he sent a card to his mistress. On which was written "Sincerely, Valentine." The pastor was finally hanged on February 14. Since then, every February 14 This day of love is celebrated as Valentine's Day in the name of this pastor.

While the style of celebrating this festival is to combine the nudity and obscenity of young boys and girls, from gift transactions to all kinds of obscenity and nudity, openly or secretly, as long as it lasts. According to a report, family planning medicines in Pakistan are sold many times more on Valentine's Day than usual and the majority of buyers are young boys and girls, increasing the rush at gift shops and flower shops. There are young boys and girls who buy these things.

Due to the lack of open discounts in countries with Eastern values, young couples are looking for a safe place. For the same purpose, hotel bookings on this day are higher than usual and the bookings are made by young boys and girls who celebrate the rallies.Wine is a lucrative business. A new sea of nudity and obscenity appears on the beach. In Western countries where non-Muslim parents live freely and obscenity, nudity and sexual misconduct have all kinds of legal exemptions, they are sometimes disturbed by the explosion of the day and sometimes speak out against it. Protests would have been loud from somewhere The protest was staged in England, citing the fact that 39 10-year-old girls became pregnant in a primary school in England on that day. Consider that this is the news of the brutality with the ten-year-old girls of the primary school.

It is very sad and unfortunate that many Muslims who celebrate this day with immorality like the disbelievers are also blessed with the blessings bestowed on them by Allah Almighty and His Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). By committing open sins, not only do they add to the ink of their book of deeds, but they also defile the purity of Muslim society with these absurdities.Bad looks, nudity, nudity, dating strangers, jokes, exchanging gifts to keep this illicit relationship strong, and even adultery and drug adultery are all things that are rampant on this day. No Muslim can have the slightest doubt that all these evil deeds are unlawful and haraam. The verses of the Holy Qur'an and the clear instructions of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) are clearly condemned. Is.nnBut since the purpose of this kind of question is to explain to the Muslims from a religious point of view and by informing them of the superstitions and evils of this day with the superstitions of that day, the fear of God and the shame of Mustafa صلى الله عليه وسلم in their hearts. وَالِهٖ وَسَلَّمَ should be created so that they may repent from these impurities and engage in the reformation of their thoughts and character on the Day of Resurrection.

Therefore, I offer a few words of encouragement in the service of my Islamic brothers who love religion. Read it yourself and make this important fatwa in the form of an article public for the good of the religion and the world of the general Muslims. Now look at the injunctions of your pure Shari'ah. Since listening and understanding is beneficial for Muslims, you must be so courageous and give the verses and hadiths a chance to enter your heart will go.

Valentine's Day (In The Light Of Quran And Hadith)

What do religious scholars and muftis say about the issue of how Muslims should celebrate Valentine's Day, which is now becoming popular? On this day, non-Mahram boys and girls exchange gifts of love (red flowers, valentine cards, etc.), make vows of love and promise to maintain this relationship, and swear an oath. Celebrating is beautiful? Does Islam allow him to celebrate such festivals? If not, what should Muslims do in such festivals?

Since man is by nature hasty and innovative, if he does not understand the rules of the Shari'ah with his intellect and does not live within its scope, these two habits continue to afflict him step by step and he does not even realize what he has done. And he is trapped in a whirlpool of evil in such a way that it becomes extremely difficult for him to get out of it. Then there is a natural habit of living together, so it is necessary for him to be with others. And since there are infidels besides Muslims in the world and there are a large number of them and there are both good and disobedient Muslims, there are more reasons for it to deteriorate in social life and less to improve it. And in the current era of globalization, when the goals of the big media companies are to spread evil, immorality, immorality, and to disturb the peace of the people by showing off their lusts and lusts, and to keep them excited. Is one of the major goals of the United States and it has been achieved in a systematic way. The work of broadcasting is going on very fast From the disbelievers The new disobedience of disobedience spreads all over the world in minutes and seconds, so the destructive effects in the society are becoming more visible and these things are not hidden from anyone.

Then there are the two types of people who suffer from vices and moral evils: (1) those who are financially comfortable, luxurious, luxurious, luxurious, luxurious. (2) Those who are mentally weak and irrational.

People who are weak in terms of intellect are more prone to moral evils because they do not know the truth about their good and bad deeds. Therefore, the intellectually superior class is affected by it when it spreads its message loudly among them. Because there are more people who invite evil, evil spreads very quickly among the people, and even though the saviors are very wise believers, because they are few, the number of those who avoid evil is small.

The Supreme Caliph, Hazrat Allama Syed Sulaiman Ashraf (may Allah have mercy on him) writes in one place in his book “Al-Noor”:

"It is a fact that the people do not have their own opinion and they do not have a voice. He blows the trumpet of his thought with such a high harmony that the thought of the people is a reflection of his thought and the voice of the people echoes his voice.

Whether the luxuriant class is ruling or not, the main reason for their depravity and immorality is the captivity of worldly pursuits and lusts which take them far away from the path of truth.

The Holy Qur'an states:

وَ مَا كُنَّا مُعَذِّبِیْنَ حَتّٰى نَبْعَثَ رَسُوْلًا (۱۵) وَ اِذَاۤ اَرَدْنَاۤ اَنْ نُّهْلِكَ قَرْیَةً اَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِیْهَا فَفَسَقُوْا فِیْهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَیْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنٰهَا تَدْمِیْرًا

And We are not going to punish until We send a messenger, and when We desire to destroy a township We send down its decrees on the well-to-do (the rich), then they transgress in it. Destroy and destroy.

It is clear from this blessed verse that one of the reasons for suffering from corruption and disobedience is to rule with great prosperity and grandeur. It turns out well.

Now, on the one hand, this is the state of natural habits, on the other hand, since a Muslim is not an ordinary human being, but rather the true humanity of the disbelievers is crowned on his head, because by the grace of Allah Almighty he is blessed with the wealth of faith. And as a Muslim, his religion and faith are as conservative as necessary with modernity, tolerant in spite of his natural habit of haste, and living with the intellect, living within the limits of the Shari'ah, and associating with people. It also teaches the inevitability of living, avoiding evils and not being affected, so it is important to live with religious restrictions.

Conservative to the extent necessary is that our belief in God is that He is ancient, that is, He has always been, and will always be, and that our Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, from the world Even though it was more than fourteen hundred years ago, the word of the Lord was revealed to them in this beloved time and you had given its understanding and interpretation in the form of your hadiths to the ummah in your outward life. So when all this is also old So it is necessary for a Muslim to be a conservative in this sense, otherwise when will he remain a Muslim? It is necessary for a person who is an imitator of any of the four Imams to accept the words of his Imam and follow them in order to be a true Muslim, and all these things have been proven and fixed centuries ago, not today. Failure to do so and rejecting it ranges from immorality to disbelief and misguidance. Therefore, a Muslim living in the modern world is also conservative in terms of his faith and the necessary religious rules, and it should be so. Is the soul for the religious life of the purpose of God Almighty and His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is unparalleled. Therefore, the basic difference between a Muslim and a kaafir is that a Muslim is a believer and is bound by the rules of Shari'ah. Kaafir is deprived of both and his parents are free.

But sadly, many of the Muslims who recite the Kalima, despite accepting to live in the realm of religion, fall prey to the degradation of the environment and the liberties of the infidels. Even in adopting the methods of expression, such Muslims make mistakes and commit sins in violation of the Shari'ah. The main reason is not to understand the natural weaknesses from the Islamic point of view and to avoid these weaknesses, Islamic morals and etiquette beliefs and One has to stay away from deeds.

Therefore, they cannot escape the effects of innovation, haste, ignorance, unnecessary interaction and bad company, or they like to be happy and do not want to escape. They are so intrigued by the worldly material advances of non-Muslims that they like everything they see, they buy things by looking at the stamps of non-Muslim countries, in the hotels of their culture. They like to eat, go to parties, their home and the whole family, their whole dress and their character and speech, they keep trying to make themselves a member of the same culture, if they succeed to some extent, they Happiness does not last long, which is why when something new comes from there, no matter how impure it may be, it is difficult for them to get away from it because of joining the culture and to stay away. Even if the thought comes, immediately this fear takes over their hearts and minds, what will the people of our status say then? Don't you know the new festivals of culture and fashion? Come along, otherwise you will not be able to walk with us, you will be left behind. Hearing such things makes their ignorant heart and stubborn and leads them from the path of religion to the path of disobedience.nnFor this reason, the anti-Islamic forces, the nations suffering from infidelity and polytheism, from time to time experiment with the mood and psychology of the majority of Muslims to find out what percentage of them are religiously bound and prefer to be bound and what percentage. There are those who have suffocated their consciences and are restless to respond to every word of theirs, and are completely bound in their grip mentally.nnWhen they see an increase in the number of their obedient and submissive Muslims, they choose people like Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq for their anti-Islamic sentiments, to create dissension and dissension, and to disregard the Muslim Shariah rules. Interpretations are applied with the goal of rejection.nnThis is a very real situation. Not so recently, but since the fall of the Islamic Empire, and even before that, Muslims as a nation have been the victims of such conspiracies and folly.nnPresident of Shariah Mufti Amjad Ali Azmi (may God have mercy on him) pointing out the same deplorable condition of Muslims at one place in his book “Bihar-e-Shariat” Says:

Why should we look at these days when there is no such thing as weeping and wailing over the deplorable condition of Muslims and when their power of action is so strong and the power of action (power to influence others) is so strong? Now that it has disappeared, what hope can there be that these Muslims will ever reach the ladder of progress? They are still slaves and will remain so whenever.

A few important things to point out in the preface are that there are similar reasons behind the celebration of Valentine's Day, which is full of nonsensical sins, with parents celebrating freedom with color rallies, which is becoming popular among young boys and girls. There are those mentioned above ie natural weaknesses, innovation, haste, captivity of psychic and satanic pleasures, distance from religion, not to be bound by oneself nor to train one's children to make them bound by Islamic morals and etiquette, not at the national level. These are the reasons why the Muslim rulers have started taking strict action against the anti-Islamic customs and festivals in the society. This is the reason why the Muslims have started celebrating this nonsensical day. On the contrary, the ruling class is openly against such anti-Islamic ideologies. Rather than taking steps to prevent open sins, it seems to be at the forefront of promoting and protecting those who spread such evils and giving them the opportunity to act openly, so that each of the causes of these stated evils can be eliminated. The dagger of evil is pressing its way into the hearts of Muslims.

Quran e Pak Ki Zaroorat | Quran Ki Ahmiyat Aur Fawaid

Make The Following Announcement Before The Funeral Of An Adult

The friends and relatives of the deceased are requested to pay attention. If the deceased had ever hurt you or violated your right in his lifetime, or he owes you anything, please forgive him, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ this will benefit the deceased and you will also be rewarded. Please listen carefully about the intention and the method of the funeral Ṣalāĥ. ‘I make the intention to offer this funeral Ṣalāĥ, for Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, and supplication for this dead person, following this Imām.’ If you do not remember these particular words, there is no harm as long as this intention is in the heart: ‘I am offering funeral Ṣalāĥ for this deceased person.’

When the Imām says اَللّٰهُ اَكۡبَرُ raise both your hands up to the ears, say اَللّٰهُ اَكۡبَرُ (in a low voice) then fold them below the navel and recite Šanā. When the Imām says اَللّٰهُ اَكۡبَرُ the second time, without raising your hands, say اَللّٰهُ اَكۡبَرُ and recite Durūd-e-Ibrāĥīm. When the Imām says اَللّٰهُ اَكۡبَرُ for the third time, without raising your hands, say اَللّٰهُ اَكۡبَرُ and recite the funeral supplication of a deceased adult (or if it is the funeral of a male or female child then announce to recite the supplication for the deceased child). When the Imām says اَللّٰهُ اَكۡبَرُ the forth and (final) time, say اَللّٰهُ اَكۡبَرُ, unfold the hands and perform Salām, right then left following the Imām as usual.

Madani Pearls In Relation To Funeral Salah

  • So-and-so must be the Imām of my funeral Ṣalāĥ’ the Shar’ī ruling about such a will
The deceased person had made a will that his funeral Ṣalāĥ should be led by so-and-so Imām or so-and-so would give him the ritual bath. This will is Bāṭil, i.e., this will is not going to waive the right of his Walī (the guardian of the deceased person). Indeed, the guardian has the authority not to lead the funeral Ṣalāĥ himself as Imām and allow the designated person to lead the funeral Ṣalāĥ.

  • Ālamgīrī, vol. 1 pp. 163, etc.
If the will is for a pious person or an Islamic scholar, the heirs should then act upon it.
  • The Imām should stand before the chest of the corpse
It is Mustaḥab (preferable) for the Imām to stand in front of the chest of the corpse; he should not be far whether the corpse is of a male or a female, an adult or a minor. This is valid when there is only one corpse for the funeral Ṣalāĥ and if there are more than one, then the Imām should stand near in front of the chest of one corpse.

  • What if burial occurs without offering funeral Ṣalāĥ?
If the dead body is buried and even the handful of earth is thrown, now the funeral Ṣalāĥ should be offered in front of his/her grave till the dead body is not likely to be decayed, if the soil is yet to be given, then the dead body should be taken out for funeral Ṣalāĥ and buried again. There is no specific number of days for offering the funeral Ṣalāĥ in front of the grave. The variation in duration depends on various factors, such as weather, type of soil, type/condition of the dead body and its disease. The body decays quickly in summer and in winter it takes longer, quickly in wet or salty soil, and slowly in dried or unsalted soil. Similarly an obese body decays faster than the skinny one.

  • Funeral Ṣalāĥ of someone buried under the rubble
If a person died after falling into a well, or a house/building collapsed on him and the body cannot be recovered, his funeral Ṣalāĥ should be offered at the same place where he was deemed to be and if one is drowned in a river and his body could not be recovered then his funeral Ṣalāĥ cannot be offered as it is unknown whether the Muṣallī (Ṣalāĥ offering person is in front of him (the dead body) or not.

  • Delaying the funeral Ṣalāĥ, to increase attendees
If a person dies on the day of Jumu’aĥ, his funeral procession should be finished before Ṣalāt-ul-Jumu’aĥ if it is possible to do so. Delaying the funeral Ṣalāĥ just to have more participants after Jumu’aĥ is Makrūĥ.

Funeral Of An Apostate

There is the same ruling for funeral of an apostate and a disbeliever. Once a query was asked in the court of A’lā Ḥaḍrat, Imām-e-Aĥl-e-Sunnat, ‘Allāmaĥ Maulānā Shāĥ Imām Aḥmad Razā Khān عَـلَيْهِ رَحْمَةُ الـرَّحْمٰن about a person who had converted from Islam to Christianity. In reply, he رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه writes on page-170, volume 9 of Fatāwā Razawiyyaĥ that if it was proven as per Shar’ī criteria that the dead had, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ forbid, changed his religion and adopted Christianity, (etc.), performing his funeral Ṣalāĥ, shrouding or burying him like that for Muslims – are all absolutely Ḥarām. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ says in the Holy Quran:

وَ لَا تُصَلِّ عَلٰۤی اَحَدٍ مِّنۡہُمۡ مَّاتَ اَبَدًا وَّ لَا تَقُمۡ عَلٰی قَبۡرِ ہٖ ؕ
And never offer Ṣalāĥ for any of their dead, and never stand by his grave.

  • [Kanz-ul-Īmān (Translation of Quran)]
  • (Part 10, Sūraĥ At-Taubaĥ, verse 84)

However, if those offering the funeral Ṣalāĥ were unaware of his conversion to Christianity, (etc.) and were considering him to be a Muslim according to what they knew, and they remained unaware till his funeral/burial, they will not be objected to since they assumed that he was a Muslim, and as such these acts were obligatory for them. But if they were aware of his Christianity, (etc.) and they still performed his Ṣalāĥ and burial, then they committed an absolutely grave sin. As long as they do not repent of this sin, Ṣalāĥ in their Imāmat is invalid; however they will not be treated as apostates as they will not become disbeliever s on committing that sin.

Our sacred Sharī’aĥ (Islamic Sacred Law) defines a straight path; it does not like immoderation in any affair. However, if it is proven that, despite being aware of his Christianity, (etc.), they did so not only due to their ignorance or some worldly interest but also considering his Christianity, (etc.) worthy of respect and deserving of funeral and burial, all those having this intention will, no doubt, become apostates and disbelievers. It will be Wājib for the Muslims to consider them apostates in all matters and their company is strictly impermissible. Those who will accompany them or support them will be sinners.

(Fatāwā Razawiyyaĥ)

Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ says in the 84th verse of Sūraĥ At-Taubaĥ of the Holy Quran:

وَ لَا تُصَلِّ عَلٰۤی اَحَدٍ مِّنۡہُمۡ مَّاتَ اَبَدًا وَّ لَا تَقُمۡ عَلٰی قَبۡرِہٖ ؕ اِنَّہُمۡ کَفَرُوۡا بِاللہِ وَ رَسُوۡ لِہٖ وَ مَا تُوۡا وَ ہُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ ﴿۸۴﴾
And never offer Ṣalāĥ for any of their dead, and never stand by his grave. No doubt, they denied Allah and His Messenger, and died while they were in transgression (infidelity).

Commenting on the above-mentioned verse, Ṣadr-ul-Afāḍil, ‘Allāmaĥ Maulānā Sayyid Muhammad Na’īmuddīn Murādābādī عَـلَيْهِ رَحۡمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ الۡـهَادِی says, ‘This verse has made it clear, that the funeral Ṣalāĥ of a disbeliever is not permissible at all and it is forbidden to stand besides the grave of a disbeliever for burial or to visit.’

    Method Of Shouldering The Bier

It is an act of worship to carry the bier on the shoulder. It is a Sunnaĥ to carry the bier on the shoulder from all four corners one after the other and to walk 10 steps at each side. The complete Sunnaĥ is to first carry the bier on the shoulder from the right head side of the bier, then the right foot side, then the left head side and then the left foot side and to walk 10 steps each time thus making a total of 40 steps.

Some people announce in the funeral procession to walk two steps each. They should instead announce, ‘Carry the funeral on your shoulder from all four sides and walk 10 steps each time.’

    Sawab Of Shouldering The Bier

It is stated in a blessed Ḥadīš, ‘Whoever carries the bier on shoulder and walks 40 steps, 40 of his major sins will be forgiven.’ It is also mentioned in a blessed Ḥadīš that the one who carries the bier on his shoulder from all four posts (of the funeral bier) will be granted ultimate forgiveness by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.

Rulings Pertaining To A dead Infant

If a Muslim’s baby was born alive i.e. he was alive whilst the most part of his body was out (during birth) and then died, he will be bathed, shrouded and his funeral Ṣalāĥ will be offered. Otherwise, he will be washed (ritual bath not required), wrapped in a cloth and buried. Ritual bathing, coffin and funeral Ṣalāĥ are not required for him according to the Sunnaĥ. If the baby’s head comes out first, then ‘the most part’ means from head up to the chest in this case. Therefore, if the baby’s head came out and he cried but died before coming out up to the chest, his funeral Ṣalāĥ will not be offered. If the feet come out first then ‘the most part’, means from feet up to the waist in this case.

Whether the baby is born alive or dead or lost in miscarriage (pre-mature birth), he should be named as he will be resurrected on the Day of Judgement.

Rows In Fneral Salah | Missing Part Of Congregational Funeral Salah | Funeral Of Person Who Committed Suicide

    • How many rows should there be in a funeral Ṣalāĥ?
It is better to have three Ṣafs (rows) in the funeral Ṣalāĥ as it is mentioned in a blessed Ḥadīš, ‘The one whose (funeral) Ṣalāĥ was offered by three Ṣafs, he will be forgiven.’ If there are only 7 people, one should become Imām, three should stand in the first Ṣaf, two in the second Ṣaf and one in the third Ṣaf. (Ghunyaĥ, pp. 588) In the funeral Ṣalāĥ, the last Ṣaf is most excellent than all other Ṣafs.
    (Durr-e-Mukhtār, vol. 3, pp. 131)
    • If one missed some part of the congregational funeral Ṣalāĥ, then…
The Masbūq (the person who has missed some of the Takbīrāt) will say his remaining Takbīrāt after the Imām has performed Salām on either side. If he suspects that the people would carry the bier up to the shoulders in case of reciting supplications etc., he should just utter Takbīrāt and leave out the supplications etc. If a person arrives after the fourth Takbīr, he may join the Ṣalāĥ (before the Imām performs Salām), utter Takbīr three times after Imām’s Salām and then perform Salām.

    • Funeral of an insane person or the one who committed suicide
The one who is insane from birth or became insane before reaching the age of puberty and died in the state of insanity, the supplication of a minor will be recited in his funeral Ṣalāĥ. (Baĥār-e-Sharī’at, vol. 1, pp. 835; Jauĥaraĥ, pp. 138; Ghunyaĥ, pp. 587) The funeral Ṣalāĥ of the one who committed suicide will be offered.
