What Is Dua ?

Dua is a word that means “invocation” or “supplication” in Arabic. It is a way of communicating with God and asking for His help, guidance, mercy, forgiveness, or anything else that one needs or wants. Dua is a form of worship that shows one’s dependence on God and one’s trust in His power and wisdom. Dua can be made at any time, in any place, and in any language12

Dua is different from salat, which is the formal prayer that Muslims perform five times a day at fixed times. Salat is also a way of worshiping God and supplicating to Him, but it has a specific structure and format that must be followed. Salat is an obligation for every Muslim who is able to perform it, while dua is voluntary and can be done by anyone at any time12

Dua can also refer to Disaster Unemployment Assistance, which is a program that provides unemployment benefits to individuals who have lost their jobs as a result of a major disaster declared by the President of the United States. This program is administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the state unemployment agencies3

How To Relief From Torment

Dear Islamic brothers! When Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ showers His mercy on someone, He عَزَّوَجَلَّ accepts even a minor deed and forgives him. A Hadees mentions several different people who were blessed by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and were saved from torment due to certain deeds. Sayyiduna ‘Abdur Rahman Bin Samurah رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنۡہُ has narrated that once the Prophet of mankind, the Peace of our heart and mind, the most Generous and Kind صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم came (to us) and said, ‘Last night I had a dream in which I saw that:
  1. The angel of death عَلَیہِ السَّلَام came to seize a person’s soul but his obedience to his parents appeared in front of him and saved him.
  2. A man was being punished in his grave but his virtue of performing Wudu saved him.
  3. A man was surrounded by devils but his act of making the Zikr of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ saved him.
  4. A man was surrounded by the angels of retribution but his Salah saved him.
  5. A man’s tongue was hanging due to thirst, he would approach a pond to drink water but was not permitted to drink, then his fasts arrived and quenched his thirst.
  6. A man was trying to get closer to the Prophets عَلَیۡھِمُ السَّلَام but was not permitted, his Ghusl (ritual bath) arrived and sat him beside me (i.e. next to the Holy Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم).
  7. A man was frightened due to be surrounded by intense darkness, but his Hajj and ‘Umrah came and brought him out of darkness and took him to light.
  8. A man wanted to talk to the Muslims but they did not pay him any attention, then his virtue of behaving relatives well asked the Muslims to speak to him, so they began to converse with him.
  9. Fire was approaching the face and body of a man who was trying to protect himself by using his arms, but then his charity arrived and served as a shield for him.
  10. A man was surrounded by the angels of retribution but his virtue of calling people towards righteousness and preventing them from evil saved him and took him to the angels of mercy.
  11. A man was sitting on his knees but there was a veil between him and Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, then his good character arrived and made him meet Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.
  12. The book of the deeds of a man was about to be given to his left hand, but then his fear of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ arrived and he was given his book of deeds in his right hand.
  13. The weight of a person’s good deeds was less (than that of his bad deeds) but his generosity arrived, increasing the weight of his good deeds.
  14. A man was standing at the edge of Hell but his fear of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ arrived and saved him.
  15. A man fell into Hell but the tears he had shed out of the fear of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ came and saved him.
  16. A man was standing on the bridge of Sirat and was shaking like a branch but then his hope that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will have mercy arrived and saved him, and he passed the bridge.
  17. A man was crawling across the bridge of Sirat, but then his recitation of Salat upon me stood him up and helped him pass it.
  18. One of my followers reached the portals of Heaven but they were closed, then his witness ‘There is none worthy to be worshipped except Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ’ came and the portals opened, allowing him to enter.
  19. The lips of some people were being cut; I asked Jibraeel عَلَیۡھِمُ السَّلَام, ‘Who are these people?’ He replied, ‘They used to tell tales.’
  20. Some people were hanging by their tongues, I asked Jibraeel عَلَیۡھِمُ السَّلَام as to who they were, he replied, ‘They used to falsely accuse others of committing sins.’

The Stories Of The Mercy Of Allah ( عَزَّوَجَلَّ )

O seekers of mercy! If Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ wants to forgive, He عَزَّوَجَلَّ does so even for the smallest of virtuous deeds. There are many narrations in this regard. For example, ‘A woman was forgiven just because she gave water to a thirsty dog.’

Reference: (Sahih Bukhari, pp.409, vol. 2, Hadees 3321)

Another Hadees of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم says that a man removed a tree from the path so that it would not cause difficulty to pedestrians. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ became pleased with him and forgave him.

Reference: (Sahih Muslim, pp. 1410, Hadees 1914)

Another Hadees says a man got absolution for being lenient in demanding debt from a debtor.

The Vastness of Divine Mercy: How Small Deeds Lead to Immense Forgiveness

In Islamic theology, one of the most comforting and profound attributes of Allah is His boundless mercy (Rahmah). A fundamental truth illustrated across authentic Prophetic traditions (Ahadith) is that salvation and divine forgiveness are not solely reserved for monumental, high-profile acts of worship. Rather, Allah often accepts, appreciates, and heavily rewards the smallest, seemingly mundane acts of sincerity, kindness, and consideration.

The three narrations provided serve as beautiful case studies of how genuine intentions can transform brief moments of goodness into keys for eternal paradise.

1. Compassion Toward the Creation: The Story of the Thirsty Dog

Reference: Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Hadith 3321

In this well-known narration, the Prophet Muhammad صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم recounted the story of a person (identified in various narrations as a man, or a woman from the children of Israel) who was walking along a path and felt intensely thirsty. After descending into a well and drinking her fill, she climbed out only to find a dog panting heavily and licking the moist earth out of extreme thirst.

Recognizing her own past desperation in the animal, she felt deep empathy. She climbed back down into the well, filled her leather shoe with water, held it in her teeth to climb back up, and quenched the dog’s thirst. Because of this singular, sincere act of mercy toward a creature often looked down upon, Allah appreciated her deed and forgave all her past sins.

The Lesson: True faith manifests as comp

assion toward all of creation. If saving the life of a thirsty animal can erase a lifetime of sin, it highlights how heavily Allah weighs genuine empathy free from ostentation.

2. Civic Duty and Removing Harm from the Path

Reference: Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1914

The second narration speaks of a man who noticed a thorny branch or a fallen tree lying across a path used by travelers. Recognizing that it could cause injury, ruin clothes, or delay people, he decided to drag it out of the way, saying to himself, "By Allah, I will remove this from the path of the Muslims so that it does not inconvenience them." Because of this simple act of civic responsibility and thoughtfulness, Allah smiled upon his action and granted him admission into Paradise.

The Lesson: Islam does not separate spiritual devotion from public service. Removing a physical obstacle or preventing harm to others is categorized as a branch of faith (Iman). This Hadith teaches us never to belittle any chance to help our communities, as a few seconds of thoughtfulness can secure divine pleasure.

3. Financial Leniency and Easing the Burden of Debt

Reference: Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Hadith 2078

The third tradition introduces a businessman who used to give loans to people. He would instruct his employees and agents, "If you encounter a debtor who is in difficult financial straits, overlook his debt and forgive him, so that perhaps Allah may overlook our shortcomings." When this man passed away and met his Creator, Allah declared that He has a greater right to be generous and consequently forgave the man's sins.

The Lesson: Human relationships are a mirror for how we hope to be treated by God. By showing leniency, patience, and financial mercy to those trapped in poverty or debt, a person invokes the ultimate leniency of Allah on the Day of Judgment, where everyone will desperately need their accounting to be made easy.

Conclusion: The Catalyst of Sincerity (Ikhlas)

The unifying thread across these three narrations is sincerity. It was not the scale of the water, the weight of the tree branch, or the size of the wealth that triggered divine forgiveness; it was the pure, unadulterated devotion in the hearts of the doers.

These narrations serve as a powerful reminder never to underestimate any good deed. A kind word, a smile, a small charity, or a moment of patience might seem trivial to us, but in the scales of the Most Merciful, it could be the very deed that outweighs our shortcomings and grants us eternal salvation.

Condemnation Of Singing And Music In The Light Of Qur'an And Hadith

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur'an:

وَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ یَّشْتَرِیْ لَهْوَ الْحَدِیْثِ لِیُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ ﳓ وَّ یَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًاؕ-اُولٰٓىٕكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِیْنٌ

And some people buy a playful thing to lead astray from the way of Allah without understanding and to make it a laughing stock.

For them is a torment of humiliation. In this verse, one of the commentators regarding "لَهْوَ الْحَدِيْثِ" is that it means to sing. In Bukhari Sharif, there is a clear saying of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): Will be made lawful. The famous Companion Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The sound of music creates hypocrisy in the heart like water makes plants grow.

Look carefully at the above-mentioned verses and the hadiths of Mubarakah, that Allah Almighty exalts both the one who sees the haraam and the one who shows his body to others There is a curse and both of them are far from the mercy of God. All these haraam acts and all these forms of adultery are found. How strictly it is forbidden in the hadeeth to be alone with a non-woman and to illustrate the evil of a pig lying on a stinking mud. It is better to shake hands with a non-woman than to shake hands with a non-woman, while those who celebrate this day do these things with great boldness, holding hands, showing obscenity and obscenity on this Valentine's Day There is a great lesson in the torment of Asaf and Naila for those who celebrate rallies by adopting means, lest they suffer any torment on that day for displaying obscenity and obscenity. Even so, every Muslim should fear the punishment for this great sin in the Hereafter. There should be no fear at all because there is no grip in the world.

The glory of a Muslim is stated in the Holy Qur'an that he fears the Most Merciful. Therefore, tremble in fear of God and embrace His mercy and make true repentance. He accepts them and makes them his beloved. On this day, those who watch movies, dramas, songs and various obscene shows should also repent that all these are strictly illegal and haraam acts.
