Blessing Of Ramzan

1. Opening Doxology (The Khutbah)

The text opens with a traditional Arabic invocation widely used in Islamic sermons and literature:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَلَمِينَ وَالصَّلَوةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ اَمَّا بَعْدُ فَاَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَنِ الرَّجِيمِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

This standard preface translates to: "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and blessings and peace be upon the Master of the Messengers. To proceed, I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful." Establishing this spiritual foundation sets a solemn, respectful tone for the directives that follow.

2. The Core Mission: "Blossoming of Sunnah"

Under the prominent heading "BLOSSOMING OF SUNNAH," the text defines the primary objective of Dawat-e-Islami: to widely teach and implement the Sunnah (the traditions, practices, and lifestyle of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). The text explicitly characterizes the organizational environment as "Madani" (resembling or pertaining to the holy city of Al-Madinah), framing it as an environment built entirely on piety and religious learning.

3. Key Pillars of Practice

The document outlines three distinct spiritual exercises that members and readers are requested to adopt to foster personal and collective reform:

A. The Weekly Sunnah-Inspiring Ijtima’ (Congregation)

The text issues a formal "Madani request" for "Islamic brothers" to dedicate an entire night to the weekly congregation.

  • Timing: Held every Thursday night, commencing immediately after Salat-ul-Maghrib (the evening prayer).

  • Purpose: It is to be attended solely for the pleasure of Allah with pure, righteous intentions.

B. Madani Qafilahs (Spiritual Caravans)

To actively spread these teachings, the text encourages regular participation in Madani Qafilahs. These are structured travel groups where devotees journey together to different cities or regions to practice communal worship, learn religious ethics, and invite others toward righteousness.

C. Madani In’amat & Fikr-e-Madinah (Self-Accountability)

A highly emphasized daily practice is filling out the Madani In’amat booklet.

  • The Process: This involves performing Fikr-e-Madinah, a term used within the movement for daily self-reflection, introspection, and accountability of one's deeds.

  • Submission: The completed booklet must be submitted to the local community's designated spiritual coordinator ("responsible Islamic brother") within the first ten days of every Islamic lunar month.

4. The Psychological and Spiritual Goal

The text promises distinct spiritual rewards for consistency in these routines:

  • Developing an innate yearning to adopt the Sunnah.

  • Cultivating a deep-seated hatred for sins.

  • Safeguarding one’s faith (Iman).

This culminates in the ultimate organizational manifesto coined by the movement:

"I must strive to reform myself and people of the entire world, اِنْ شَاءَ الله عَزَّوَجَلَّ."

The text clarifies a clear cause-and-effect relationship to achieve this monumental goal: personal reform is achieved internally via the Madani In’amat self-evaluation, while global reform is pursued externally by traveling with the Madani Qafilahs.

5. Visual and Publisher Context

At the bottom of the layout, the document features the covers of four distinct guidebooks published by the organization to assist a seeker's journey:

  1. Islamic Manners of Eating

  2. Blessings of Sunnah

  3. Laws of Salah

  4. Suicide: A Road to Hell (or "Antidote to Suicide")
